Apr 22, 2009 Rating Windows hangs on startup by: Support Hello Harbhajan, You have changed the video card and the motherboard then the system will not start. The problem is that the installed Operating System HAL (Hardware Allocation List)is out of date, that is the new hardware is not listed, there for the Windows OS will not start, it can't even do a memory dump to tell you what the problem is. You have to reinstall the OS when you do a major upgrade on your hardware. Hope this helps...
