Windows 7 Ultimate Guide

Hello,

I just purchased your CD "Self Computer Repair Unleashed", and I am in way over my head already.

I am having terrible problems with a just out of warranty Windows 7 Pro. 64bit OS computer.

I may have used my computer for Three months out of the past 13 months. The rest of the time it has been in transit between me and their repair shop getting fixed, once it got crushed by UPS, and they delivered it that way.

Do I need to go ahead and get your other book "Windows 7 Ultimate Guide" also?

I changed out my own Motherboard once on this machine, they neglected to tell me I needed to download and print the instructions before I took it out.

I even paid for "On Site Repair" for another year, but they applied it to the monitor, not the computer, and of course nothing can be done about that.

Does this new book come on a CD yet, or is it just in a book form? Your instruction on the CD was great because I could have it in the drive and if I got hung up, I could just glance back at your CD. I hope this was the place to submit my question.

When you reply, where will I be able to see your answer?

Hello Danny,

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your computer and the manufacuter.

No the Windows 7 Ultimate Guide doesn't come on a cd by itself it is only on the Library CD at this time.

As a frequent contributor to "Questions & Answers", I certainly understand the frustration the young man has. I have had the same with dealing with computers under warrenty. This is one of the reasons I found, this website ordered all the the books. Have purchased copies of the books for friend, family 60r 7 times.

Recomended reading.

Repaird/rebuilt 10 computers. Built a server, in process of building a proxy server. A Network Attached Storage Server. Built 12 computers all in the last 2 years. The 2nd. of 2 Internet Cafe's is in the works.

Learned how to clone hard drives. To update my laptop and other computers.

Having a lot of fun/frustration. in many of the projects with most having a successful out come with Mr. Russell's personal online suggestions.

All because of DIY-Computer Repair.com.

Read the manual several times so that you have a full understanding as to what you are reading.

Make a check list if you cannot find one on this web site for the area that you are working in. Be calm when you do the work; don't forget to ground yourself for ESD.

I was a little skidish about writing something on here, I have joined Discussion Forums that were absolutly violent to newbe's like me, but not this time.
