Video changes color

I have a Lattitude X300 dell laptop.

Problem is it screen goes red while working?

Hello Shavinder,

When the video display goes to one color and the color is one of the prime colors - in this case Red - then the inverter has failed.

The inverter is normally located under the video display bazil (the cover around the video display and the top of the computer case).

If you decide to fix the problems yourself you would save over half the cost of the repair.

You need to go to the manufacture's web site and see if there are any spares available, how much they cost. If the cost is high you could use the part number you find there and do a search on the web for spares.
