Power switch
by: Support

Hi Vince,

I take it that if you power the computer down from the main switch when you power it up you have to press the switch on the front to get it to power up?

Some computers have an option for power that is called 'power on after fail' this means when the main power supply is turned off or unplugged then when the power is restored though the main power switch or plugging the power cord back in the computer will start reguardless of the postion of the front panel switch. You can find this option in the BIOS under Power Settings.

If you don't have this option or want to fix the switch on the front panel then you have some options -

See if the manufacture has a repair kit, it would be the switch and instructios for changing it.

Check eBay for another case if the switch is still there. A couple months ago I had an email asking the same question.

Or you could go to a electonics store and see if they have a press on/off switch that will fit your case.

Hope this helps...
