Reload Windows 7 from 64bit to 32bit

by Eldwin
(Metairie, La.)

This is a software problem,I have win 7 pro 64 bit installed on a asus P5Q m/b with a Q9550 proc. and 4meg mem.

The problem is bsod's at least one a day or more.If I change the o/s to the 32 bit version would this correct the bsod's?.

My question is how would I install the 32 bit version,I received the 2 cd's when I purchased the new o/s.

Change from Windows 7 64Bit to 32Bit
by: Support

Hello Eldwin,

Yes you can change over from 32 bit to 64 bit by reloading the Windows 7 Operating System.

Before you do you should find out why the 64Bit is getting the BSOD or Stop Error.

Read about the process here:
Trouble Shooting BSOD or Blue Screen Of Death

On the screen when the Stop Error occurs is a series of numbers and characters.

Copy complete error and do a search for a solution to the error, if you do not fix what is causing your problme with the 64bit version it may migrate to the 32bit version and you may be waisting your time.

If you decide to reinstall to the 32bit version I would suggest your backup your data before doing the reinstall.

All you have to do is put the 32bit version DVD in your drive, when the computer starts you have to press any key when the computer starts or the 64bit Operating System on the hard drive will load.

Hope this helps...
