As software adds more functionality, new features, and new ways of doing
things, you will need to have a more powerful processor. To go with this you may
need a new mother board. Processors are like cars, you can have a Yugo or you can
have a Corvette. You are in the drivers seat, your bank account is the engine.
Caution:
Some mother boards will not support an increase in the front side bus speed, ie:
533MHz to 800MHz, you may burn up the processor by inserting one with a higher
FSB speed.
Check with the mother board
manufacture for supported FSB speeds.
Be aware that each
processor requires a certain type of socket, check your mother board for the correct
socket type before purchasing the processor.
