problems with my pc after loading desktops

by Leah

Help! I downloaded Desktops program - the one that lets you have 4 desktops running. I saw that you use it on another forum.

Since installing that last night and not doing anything else I have so many problems on my PC.

My windows key + E doesn't work. My pdf writer SAVE AS box doesn't come up in Word. Task Manager doesn't start via Ctrl + Alt + Delete menu.... And who knows what else.

Not to mention it was hard to get rid off. Now it's going to take Hours to try to fix everything...

I guess there's no easy answer to this? I'm going to google for answers and reinstall programs but this will take hours and hours... Hopefully I've pressed a button and it's not the program? One of the function keys has disabled pop up things or something? Help!!!

Configcts with Desktops.exe Sysinternals program
by: Support

Hello Leah,

I read through a few of the 'Problems' people have had with this program on the Microsoft Desktops.exe
and it seems that you have to change the default keypress settings, Figure B to keep the program from interfering with other 'hot keys' you have set up.

I don't use the hot keys so never ran in to this problem.

The version 1.02 that is on the Technet web site is what I have tested and used in XP with SP2 and SP3, Vista, and Windows 7 32 bit SP1.

I have not used this program with Windows 7 64 bit as of yet.

Check the settings for the hot keys and change them to something you don't use on other programs.

Hope this helps ...
