Printer will not connect to the usb port
by Richard N
(Channelview, Tx.)
I have an avertec all-in-one with windows xp home edition sp3. I am trying to install a canon pixma ip1800 inkjet printer. The diver and other programs down load ok. When I get to the installation screen. I get a message check connection. I followed all the instructions, same problem. I went to the hardware screen and found the printer with a question mark. This was not at any of the ports but at other hardware. I clicked on the question mark and found message driver not installed re-install driver(code1).I went to the install wizard and try to re-install the driver, the program locked up and I had to reboot the computer. Before I downloade the driver from the disc I deleted all temp files, closed all running and virus programs. This computer has the intel atom n270 cpu @ 1.60 ghz and 1 meg ram.
