BSOD Stop Error 0xC000021A
by: Suport

Hello Mike,

Quote MS TechNet -

The STOP 0xC000021A error occurs when either Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe fails. When the Windows NT kernel detects that either of these processes has stopped.

Two things come to mind -

Have you added new hardware or software to the computer?

Have you done a BIOS update since the last time your computer ran properly?

If you have added new hardware remove it and install the drivers first then the hardware, you can do this from the Control Panel / Add - Remove Hardware, select hardware not installed yet and then install the drivers. Power down the computer and install the hardware. Power up and test.

If you haven't updated your BIOS yet then do so, you will have to have a boot device or floppy to do the BIOS update because Windows will not start, so don't download the Windows installer.

If you don't have a bootable device or floppy I have written some articles on how to make them here -

How To's..

If any of these purposed fixes do not help then you will have to reinstall the Operating System.

Hope this helps...
