I have a dell 9 inch netbook with ubuntu and no disk drive, is there any way to get windows XP or Vista?

Hello Connor,

You have a netbook with Linux and you want to put XP on it.

Do you want to do a Dual Boot or wipe the old OS and install XP?

If you don't have a CD/DVD the only solutions I know of is to use a peer to peer network, you could share the other computers CD/DVD.

This leaves you with a problem - What will you use for a boot device? You could use a USB Pen drive and make that bootable, add on the network card drivers then connect to the other computer.

Or you could get a USB CD/DVD drive that is bootable, put the XP CD in the USB drive and boot it.

So you can do a peer to peer but need a bootable device, or you could use a bootable USB CD/DVD drive.
