Frequency and resolution
by: Support

Hello Joyce,

Sounds like either the computer or the monitor are at the wrong frequency .

The first thing I would try is disconnecting the power cord from both the computer and monitor for a minute or two.

Then plug them back in and power them up, monitor first.

It that doesn't cure the problem then find out how to get in to the setup on the monitor and what the base frequency is (Manufactures web site would have this info if you don't have the manual - it should be 60 Hz), it maybe running at a frequency or resolution that the computer video card can't support, try 60 Hz and 1024 x 800 to start off with and then go up in resolution but leave the frequency at 60 Hz, very few LCD monitors run at 70 or higher frequency.

If you can't resolve the problem then you may have to either try a differnt computer for the monotor to see if it has failed or take it to a repair shop.

Hope this helps...
