my motherboard is not coming up

I have a Pentium iv system,initially it shows corrupt operating system. Later, the system do not display but the power functions well and no beeping sound is heard.

I got a another working system, remove the hard disk and put it in the faulty system but no response only the fan and led works.The hard disk of the faulty system works in the other system.
what is the way out?

Motherboard not powering up

Hello Adelopo,

If you power up your computer and get the fan(s), the power on led, hard drive, and CD drive activity then I would say that something on the motherboard has either gone to ground or failed.

No beep when powering up is an indication that a card, a memory module, or another part is either dead or is not properly seated.

Try reseating the add on cards, memory, and all cables.
