Mouse rightclicking problems

by Michael
(Coventry, U.K)

A few days ago my mouse stopped working when trying to rightclick on any internet page. It only happens on internet pages,(can rightclick on the menu bar, tools etc) its fine if im in a game or on my desktop. I havnt changed any settings and it occured whilst windows was running (no shutdowns or restarts.)Cant find any information on how to solve the problem. Is it my mouse? or has my internet page settings changed? Or some other problem? I have a trust usb mouse, and im currently using IE7 on windows xp sp3. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Right Click problem
by: Support

Hello Michael,

If it only occurs when you are browsing web sites then I would say that the web sites have the right click disabled.

Some web site do this to keep people from copying images and text.

I say it is the web sites because you have the function in all your other programs.

Try this -

Open a web site, check the right click, do you get a menu? If not right click on the desktop? Do you have a menu? If not then your mouse button switch for right click is dead, if you do then the right click is locked out on the web site.

I do not know of any setting for IE or Fire Fox that disables the right click funtion.

Hope this helps...
