Monitor will not display all the time

Having troubles starting the system, the monitor blinking black no signal like it was changing resolution, the screen come and gone, but i had installed logmein, and I logged into my pc from another pc and everything was ok but without video on my monitor. some day it never waked up and I changed my monitor, samsung syncmaster and it happened again . now i have a datashow benqPB2140 and everything is ok starting the system.

what happened with those monitors?

Monitor Drivers

Hello Jorge,

When the installation program for your Operating System installs all the hardware drivers for you sometimes it detects the hardware and does not have a driver for a peice of hardware. So it will use a generic driver. This driver will alow the device to work but with lower quality.

When you changed the resolution to a higher quality say 32 Bit Color or 1280x1024. Then the generic driver can not support the resolution.

If you want to use the other monitors you will need to go to the manufactures web site and get the drivers for those monitors.

Before you change the monitor back set the resloution on the Display settings to a lower resolution, then change the monitor. If the OS doesn't detect the change of hardware go to Device Manager and run the 'Scan for hardware changes'. Be sure you have the appropiate drivers for the monitor avalable when you do this and install them.

As for your access to the computer with the remote control the remote control program installs a special driver for display on the client computer (the computer you are using to view the other comptuer)from the host computer (the computer that has the problem).
