VGA receptical
by: Support

Hello Lisa,

When you say the Video Port is broken do you mean that the receptical has came out of it's mount?

Or do you mean some pins have been bent and broken off?

If the video recptical has came out of it's mount on the motherboard you can solider it back in placce see this article about component repair -

Component Repair on a Motherboard

If there are pins broken in the video recptical then yes you can replace the receptical.

The question on a replacement is can you find the right one? The reciptical maybe pripatory to the motherboard by the manufacture.

In either case it would be simpler and cheaper to install an add on Video card.

Hope this helps...
