Micro Proccessor

The last thing that happened to my computer was; I pushed the power buttom, it started to load the operating systems, (window xp) then it suddenly made on long beep then shut down.

It never loaded again. when I ppush the power button, I could only hear the proccessor fan running. Noting is being displayed on the scrreen or is the load light coming on.

I suppose it is the proccessor whch has a problem, I have another motherboard which is proven good. I place that proccesor into it, and it is giving simmilar response. there is no loading of the bias nor the operating systemm.

wWat do you think is the the problem here?>

Hello Kenroy,

I would say from your discription of the issue that the processor has failed.

You could go to either motherboard manufacture's web site and check the beep codes.

The only thing left would be to put the memeory in the other motherboard and check that.

Maybe it is time to upgrade?
