I HAVE A PROBLEM I TRY TO OPEN POWER OPTION IN CONTROL PANEL. BUT IT SAYS FIRST I HAVE TO TURN OFF POWER OFTION FROM WINDOWS XP POWER OPTION. IN ORDER TO USE TOSHIBA POWER OPTION

Power managment for a Toshiba Laptop

Hello Ivan,

To turn off the power management I think you will have to do it in a three step process.

1st) Power down the computer, power up and go in to the BIOS settings, disable the Power settings. Then restart.

2nd) Once XP is running go to the control pannel and open the power setting, disable the power settings.

3rd) Power down then power up go in to the BIOS settings and enable the power settings in the BIOS, let the OS startup.

Check the power settings from the Tosiba power settings, can you get to them?

If this fails to disable the XP settings you need to contact the manufacuter for settings...
