Laptop wont boot not even into the BIOS

Laptop wont boot not even into the BIOS

My E-Syatem 335-Series laptop had an over heating problem. I tracked it down to the HEATSINK so I replaced it with a new one and now it wont boot.

Not even into the BIOS it seems to be getting all the power it needs.I can hear the DVD start up but then nothing just a blank screen.

I've tried replacing the old heatsink and the result is just the same.

No fans starting or anything just the DVD clicking.

Please advise.

Laptop will not power up after maintenace

Hello Ricky,

When you opened the laptop case and did your work you may have moved/broken a connector to another device.

Check all the cables in side the case, there are only four or five.

Are they seated properly on both ends?

Another thing that could be happening is that the fan is not connected properly.

If the fan is not working then the processor could be getting to hot and shutting down during the BIOS POST at power up.

Check the fan connector, you can power up the laptop with the upper half of the case loose and look at the fan to see if it is indeed operating.
