Keyboard causing errors?
by: Support

Hello Jessica,

You didn't say if you were using a laptop or a desktop.

If you are using a laptop there are a few possibilities:

A) The Fn key has been pressed while typing causing the keys to become programmed to those functions. (Check the user's manual on how to deprogram the Fn keys).
B) You have a virus
C) The keyboard is failing or the ribbon cable is failing.

If you are using a Desktop the possibilities are:
A) The keys have been programmed to do those functions (Check the control panel Keyboard applet to see if it is programmable, if it is set it to 'Default settings'
B) Your keyboard is a wireless keyboard and needs new batteries, once you change the batteries press the reset button on the underside of the keyboard.
C) You have a virus
D) Your keyboard is failing.

Hope this helps ...
