Nov 27, 2009 Rating Keyboard problems or Memory problems? by: Support Hello Susan, You could have more than one problem. First - Is this a wireless keyboard? If it is change the battery, then power down the computer and disconnect the transmitter/reciver cable, this will be plugged in to a USB port. It will be farily easy to identify because it will not have an apparent use such as a web cam or pen drive. If it is a wired keyboard try this - Power down the computer, disconect the keyboard cable and plug it back in. Power up the computer, open notepad or your word processor, type a couple of words. Leave it open, then do something else for about the same length of time it takes for the keyboard to start acting strange. Did the unplugging and plugging the cable back in make any differance? If it didn't the next thing to look at is why the keyboard slows down after the computer has been on for awhile. Do you see any other slowness, such as programs taking a long time to open? When you are on the internet is it fast at first and slows down after a while? If this is true then you either need to optimize your computer or upgrade the memory.
