IBM ThinkCentre TCM51-3C
by Frank C. Lombardo
(Ocala, Florida)
Attempted to install new DVD R/W unit in IBM ThinkCentre TCM51-3C. Not paying attention, screwed up by plugging in DVD player audio cable into CPU fan 4 pin connector on mother board. Now PC will not boot up and CPU fan runs at very high speed. Suspect I fried temperature sensor related to CPU that keeps the unit from booting up. Power supply is okay. I can't find a replacement for the mother board.
For reference: TCM51-3C -- ThinkCentre M51 Pentium 4 3.0GHZ 5612 MB 40GB (IBM)
Thank you for your kind attention and consideration...
