I have a problem on my toshiba laptop I forgot the password that I program on my laptop bios.I cannot go to my setup mode when I press the F2 the passwor is showing up I have already try to remove the cmos battery but still when go to bios for set the laptop still looking for password even I totally remove the cmos battery.

Hello Abner,

Your options are -

Disconnect the ac power, remove the computer battery, then remove the CMOS battery, leave all disconnected for up to 24 hours.

Or

Go to Toshiba's web site and see if there is a jumper that will short the CMOS back to the default settings. I know that IBM and Dell have this jumper, it is located close to the connector for the CMOS battery.

These are the only ways I know of to clear the password for the BIOS.
