Hello Joe,

Normally you should password protect your computer.

Sounds like a friend has set the password.

You can use the Administrator account to get in to the comptuer.

When you start the computer use the id -
Administrator

Don't use a password. You should be able to log on, then go to My Computer right click, on the menu select Manage.

When the console opens go to Users and Groups, open the Users, go to the ID you normally use and right click on it, then select set password, a warning will come up, click ok and enter a new password.

Try to use something you will remember but anyone else would not know.

If the password is set for the Administrator then you will have to do a little more work to get to reset it to the orginal password when the Operating System was loaded.

Hope this helps.
