E-book will not load

I bought the Self Computer Repair Unleashed E-Book this spring and copied it to CD from my laptop to put on my pc.

It was loaded to the desktop on both computers for easy access.The short cut is still present on both, but I get a mess. that the driver is missing on the Dell pc.

When I try to open it on the laptop,it tries(unsuccessfully)to use IE to open the file.The IE screen flashes on and off.The tray is left with a full grouping of Internet Explorer screens open.I threw the short cut in the trash, did a full scan with Norton,put my backup CD in and scanned it,then reloaded the E-Book.

I'm still flashing. Can you help?

Hello Tim,

I don't think that the e-book file is the problem (could be mistaken though).

I think either your Adobe Reader is corrupt or an update for the reader failed.

Try this:

Go to the Control Panel, then Add / Remove programs and uninstall Adobe Reader.

Restart your computer, then go to the Adobe web site and download the latest version of Adobe Reader.

Try the e-book again.

If you are still having problems with the e-book and can open other PDF files contact me with a copy of your invoice and I will set you up to get a new copy of the Self Computer Repair Unleashed! Manual
