Dell printer will not work after Windows 7 upgrade from Vista
by Michael Stark
(Lecompton, KS)
Hi Monte,
I purchased your Windows 7 Ultimate Guide (also have your Self Computer Repair Disc) prior to receiving my Windows 7 Disc in the mail. I followd your instructions when I upgraded from Vista (nightmare) to Windows 7, 32 bit. Now my Dell AIO 926 printer won't work. I've spent two days on Dells website and found out a new drivr for my printer is available for Windows 7. There is no mention what-so -ever as to how to get it. I've gone to their download center, printers, and have come up with zilch. I have downloaded all the updates from MicroSoft, plus most of their recommendations. When I check the status of the printer is says it is operational. I've deleted and re-installed it three times and now it says to reinstall the driver and something about the spool. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely,
Michael
