When you say Research, what does this entail?
Before you can start your computer build you will need to
define what you are going use the computer for. Then you need
to make a list of parts for your computer. Once you have your
list you can research the parts and prices, there is a sample
spread sheet to show you how a parts search is done.

What part of the process is the most
complicated?
The complete process is complicated, but with the
instructions in the book it is broken down in to small steps
that removes the complexity that the overall task has. Such as
when you install the Operating System, each step is illustrated
and explained.

The computer in the book cost $392 to build, that
included the shipping and handling of the parts when I ordered
them. Consider this: The computer in the book has: Pentium 4
2.8GHz processor, 1 Gig of Ram, 128Meg Video card, 80Gig Hard
drive, DVD RW Drive, eight USB ports, Wired and Wireless network
adapters, and 1 extra exhaust fan. Comparable manufactured
computer would be $599 from your local computer store. Not
only that this system can be upgraded at any time, the
manufactured computer is preparatory and only upgrades you can
do is the Hard drive, CD/DVD, and memory.
