Computer continuously boots w/o starting up.

My Emachine T4160 continuously boots w/o starting up. I finally got it to stop on the error screen. The error screen say, "Stop: c00021a {Fatal System Error}. The session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000). The system has been shut down."
I cannot get it to start in Safe Mode. Any ideas of what I can do?

Stop error - c00021a

Hello Chuck,

It seems that Microsoft knows about this and basicly it has to do with a 3rd party software replacing a MS required driver and the replacement driver does not have the code that you Operating System (OS) needs to start.

Have you done any software installs or upgrades to the system?

It is a little bit involved, do you have another computer you can make a bootable cd/dvd? And an external device to backup any data on the computer? (In case the process fails and you have to reload the OS?)

Note: If you have to reload the OS when it is loaded don't put Service Pack 1 or 2 on the computer only 3 and if it is Vista don't put Service Pack 2 on the computer there are known problems with them - Vista SP 2 is still a beta, should not be used.
