Activation error
by: Support

Hello Niel,

You are having a problem with the Activation of one of your Microsoft products.

This is from the MS web site:

Microsoft Update Office Genuine Advantage error message when logging in...

The reply to the message is:

"Please create a (no cost) Support Request at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52029 for assistance with issie."

Hope this helps...

Solving OGAEXEC.exe-application error
by: William

Google "OGAEXEC.exe +application error".
See: Microsoft Update Office Genuine Advantage error ...... ( site : social.microsoft.com ).

The problem was coming after the OGA-update in august 2009. Normally you can not remove this installation. But see the solution in forum above.
I have done it in another way:
Look with Glary Utilities( freeware) for the installed software "OGA Notifier 2.0.0048.0 "and remove it. Problem solved.
But when your Windows Update is on the autopilot it's coming back !

*** Note - Admin ***

Even removing the Notifier will not solve the problem, an installed Microsoft product has failed Activation, Neil needs to go to Microsoft and get the problem resolved.

My opinion of course.

OGAEXEC.exe +application error ..-2-
by: William

Hello Neil, Support and Adm.

First I also asked for a (no cost) Support Request.
The MS-answer (the Dutch support site) was : try to uninstall the update or remove the OGA-software in the normal way.
But this update isn't to find/uninstall/remove.
When I asked for a more specific solution for my problem the MS-answer was: too difficult /as good as impossible because every computer/installation is different.
So I did it my way.
My computer with Windows XP SP3 and Office 2003 prof is now working OK.
I'm waiting for a better OGA-update.

Rename files
by: Hegis

Tried all of the above - No success. Simply renamed the three OGA***.* files in c:\windows\system32

Application Error
by: Anonymous

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Scheduled Tasks.
2. Right click OGALogon.job and delete it.
3. Restart the computer

*** edit Monte ***

This is a good suggestion, how ever on my system the Scheduler is disabled.
