Computer powers up, will not start Operating System.
by: Support

Hello Kaylene,

Some questions -

Why did you change the power supply?
Is the power supply an exactly the same as the old one?
Do you get any beeps from the speaker?

Somethings come to mind when a comptuer will power up a computer but it will not display on the monitor.

1) When you replaced the power supply you didn't get the power connector all the way in the socket.

2) When you replaced the powers supply you didn't connect the 12v Aux connector.

3) When you replaced the power supply you moved something and the motherboard is going to groud.

On # 1 check all the connections that come from the power supply for propper seating.

On # 2 check to see if the power supplies have a small square four connections plug, look at the motherboard for a simular connector. It would be close to the processor/heat sink.

On # 3 check all the add on cards and memory for propper seating in their slots.

If none of the above solutions bring's the computer up the last thing to try is a another video card to see it the computer will respond.

Hope this helps...
