Acer Aspire 5100 Processor Upgrade (laptop)

I am thinking of learning how to upgrading the processor in my laptop from a AMD Turion to a Intel 2 core processor. The computer is 3 years old. My research in Tigers Direct indicates that AMD uses the type A socket. On there Website they list intel Processors but I found no A socket Processors. Is this a viable idea or am I stuck with the AMD Processor in this computer?Is this a viable idea or am I stuck with the AMD Processor in this computer? Does intel make A type processors in 2core to replace this processor? I am running XP Pro 64 bit system. 533 memory 1 gig up gradeable to 4 gigs. Love the laptop my first computer.
