Hey, you a Senior Citizen? Know one? Maybe you should
read this!

Hello

Well the New Year has came and gone. Nope no resolutions, no goals. But something I did decide to do is when I need to do something I set up a 'Process' and then follow the process to the end.

I am working on a project to do a step by step 'How to' upgrade or build a computer with each step documented and pictures to show the steps. When I started it my goal was to have a new section on the web site. A step by step guide on building a computer. The thing is I am not very good at keeping to goals. A friend writes a newsletter also and one of his pet peeves is goals and resolutions, he was the one who suggested using 'processes' instead of goals to motive yourself.

So stay tuned for the guide. I am considering not putting the guide up on my web site and adding it to my e-book.

What do you think? E-book or Web site?

Tip:

When your system is starting to get sluggish your hard drive may need to be defragged, you can access the defragment program by right clicking on my computer and selecting Manage. In the left window of the System Management go to Storage, click on the plus sign and then Defragment, once there select the drive. First you want to analyze the drive then run the defrag.

Something you should know the program is not a fast process, on a large hard drive it may take twenty-four hours to complete. The reason that it takes a long time is if the area where the file needs to be written to has another file the program has to move the file that is in the way before it can write the file it wants to move. So on a drive that is over 65% full means that it will be highly fragmented, and to free up space the program has to move files before it can write files.
