Hello
Things have been pop'n around the DIY Computer Repair web site. I am in the
process of setting up a blog to complement the web site and the Q and A section.
For the most part this blog will be for those that have more experience at
computer repair. As a beginner or novice
www.diy-computer-repair.com web
site would be better for you, although you are still welcome to stop by and read
the blog and comment on the Fix It Blog.
Another thing I have to do is move this newsletter to another server, this
will happen later this month. One of the main reasons for doing the move is the
number of people subscribing to this newsletter (Thank you very much!) and
adding the new blog. I would like to have the subscription from all parts of the
web site so moving it will give the blog readers and the Members Only section
access to the newsletter also.
If I move the newsletter you will have to opt-in again, that is my new
server
Aweber.com will send you an email asking if you want to receive this
newsletter, if you do you will have to authenticate your email once again.
Before I start the move I will send you a special newsletter telling you when it
will be in progress and what you will need to do to continue receiving the
newsletter.
I apologize in advance about this move that I need to do to grow my web site.

Other news:
Question: Is a blogger a Journalist?
Recently a blogger and his company bought a iPhone (the
supposedly iPhone G4 beta test model) from someone that found it when an Apple
employee left it in a bar.
The blogger and his fellow employee's disassembled the phone
and made comparisons to an older version of the iPhone and commented on the
differences.
Apple politely asked for the phone back but the blogger did
something I think was stupid - he posted the Apple letter with a lot of snide
comments about Apple and their employees.
Then police confiscated all of his cell phones, computers, and
data storage devices.
Now is this blogger covered by the 'Shield' law that states a
Journalist does not have to revel their sources when reporting news?
Or is this blogger an industrial spy? After all the iPhone was
proprietary property and not his to disassemble then post images and comments
about.
Something to think about if you are considering taking a
device apart and discussing it with images on the internet.
